New Life

It is a perfect time to start a new life; the one with better objectives, with better goals. I promised myself if I get the change to start a new life, then I will run it to the best I can, and now, the chance is here. I should check everyday, start with clear objectives, and make sure at the end of the day, I meet the objective.

The Tipping Point

Malcolm Gladwell has written many extremely popular books; the latest is Outlier. In those books, he usually imparts a thesis using many simple stories, but those stories convey a similar message. To finish reading each book, it may take significant amount of time, which I do not have. The best thing I can do is just to read the conclusion. Following are fragments in Conclusion from one of his books, The Tipping Point:

Focus, test, and believe

… and what they all have in common is their modesty. 

This is the first lesson of the Tipping Point. Starting epidemics requires concentrating resources on a few key areas. 

The problem, of course, is that the indiscriminate application of effort is something that is not always possible.
